MDJunction to me

jaguarandcubs"MDJ is an integral part of my everyday life. Since joining in 2010, I have met so many amazing people. It is truly incredible to be able to share good times and not so good times with others who face the same health challenges. And MDJ has support groups for every condition I have. I don't know of anywhere else that can offer that. I love that I can learn from others as well as offer my own experiences for others to learn from." (jaguarandcubs)

A Bitter-Sweet Story

I think that its important to document this journey. For myself as well as others. SLE is a struggle but nothing that can't be overcome.

What am Supposed to Do?

Jun 04 2012
Yesterday was my first day back to work. The lights made me throw up and my knees swole up pretty bad. I cam home and slept like 12 hrs. I've had to take it easy all day...Keeping ice on my jointsand trying to at least eat crackers. I'm going to try to ride out this week...but I have Benlysta next week again and I'm pretty sure I'm schedule to work. I can't really afford to quit and I've been denied for disability twice. So what am I supposed to do?

Sorry to hear you have been suffering with migraine and joint pain. Hope you feel better soon. My suggestion, apply the third time for disability. This is standard both in US and Canada to have to go the whole 9 yards and jump though all the hoops.I am on my third and over a year trying to get it,now with an advocate to help with the final appeal, not a lawyer I can't afford it.If you can get an advocate who does this professionally without cost to you that will be best. If there is no one who does this than a lawyerpreferrably one who only gets paid if you win the appeal or if you have the funds one who get paid up front.Good luck let us know how things go.
