vshante23 I think that its important to document this journey. For myself as well as others. SLE is a struggle but nothing that can't be overcome.

First Week of Benlysta

May 21 2012

So the first week is over...I made it,lol. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The first two days I did have the pain in my limbs and a little bit of a headache. The heartburn has been constent...haven't really been able to eat anything heavy...really doing a lot of the "heart healthy soups". Its a little more salt then I was doing before but 1 can is only like 400mg. Thats not bad in a day.

I have needed to nap everyday. Like 3 or 4 hrs lol. So I'm sleeping about 10-12 hrs right. I think that actually might be good because the prednisone and the cellcept usually keep me up. I have been able to workout everyday sense day 4. So over all I'm feeling pretty good. I'm still very sun sensitive but I'm a lot more active when the sun does go down.

I'm starting to wonder if I should embrace a little bit of a life style change until I get better...maybe a night job...the reality is they do pay more...and it would just be until I'm out of school.  I'm so ready to get back to a semi normal life...

You can be like Bella and Edward from Twilight and be a vampire....stay in during the day and play at night! Sounds good to me smilies/grin.gif
