37 yr old bipolar daughter

This is a journal of my journey with my first born--a 37 yr old daughter diagnosed with BP about 4 yrs ago. She is a beautiful, kind and loving person until the manic episodes take over. She has given me three beautiful grandchildren and they are the loves of my life.

Depression

Apr 06 2008

Fran has moved into the depressive state.  I'm glad that it makes things somewhat easier for us.  At least I don't worry about her running off somewhere with the kids.  I knowthat it makes her miserable though because depression is such a  painful condition.  Hopefully, it won't last too long and we can all get on with plan for if (probably when) she goes into another cycle.  It has been about 3 and l/2 years since the last episode.

She has an appointment with a counselor Tues.  I really would like for her to go on a regular basis, but probably when she is feeling some better, she won't go.

She has allowed Roy to move back in.  He had expressed several weeks ago that he would go back in a heartbeat for the kids.  I really believe that he and Fran love each other.  I pray that they will work it out.  I know they can.  I just wish that they would allow God  in their lives and trust Him to guide their decision.

Callie and I say our prayers every night and she loves that.  Maybe she wil keep it up when she  is home permanently.
