I had a talk with my daughter and told her that I had forgiven her but that forgiveness does not make her choices right/moral. She did pretty well when I talked with her and didn't lash outor make any smart remarks. She did say that she was sorry but that things would probably get worse because she plan to move to SC and take the kids when school is out.
I just asked that she did not tell her dad that yet and that we would talk about that later. She did smart off about lots of grandchildren live a long way from their parents. I still remained calm and she admitted that she should not have brought that up.
The issue is not the grandchildren living a long way off (even though we would not like that ). The issue is her taking them several hundred miles to meet someone that she barely knows.
She did go to the beach with us and the children this week. She did pretty well. No real blow ups and she seemed to enjoy it most of the time.
