My name is Karen; I am 44 years old, a married mother of 3 and grandmother of 2. CEBV has totally changed my life.

I was diagnosed, finally, with Chronic Reactive Epstein Barre by my wonderful new doctor in November of 07. I had been through 3 ½ years, 3 doctors, and a couple of mis-diagnosis' before someone knew how to run the correct tests to diagnosis this very evasive illness.

I am here to educate and enlighten people with what I have learned from my extensive research, and from the knowledge that my doctor has given me. There is so little known about this illness and it seems like so many people are sick from it. You would think the medical community would be more aware of the complications this illness brings.

This whole cycle started from Lyme's disease. Which is one reason I posted "EBV and LYMES any correlation?"

Welcome! I was diagnosed with Chronic Epstein Barr Virus (CEBV) in January of 2008. For the past seven years, I've been to many doctors trying to figure out just what was wrong with me. Why was I so tired all the time? Why did I contract every cold and flu strain that got within 10 feet of me? Finally, and as with most people, a Doctor thought to test for EBV. Once I received the results, I began to search for information on this virus, only to find that there isn't much out there. I began looking for support groups of CEBV to see if I could get information from other people experiencing the same issues that I was having. I have found people that are both supportive and informative. Since there isn't much information on CEBV, it's up to us to discuss our symptoms and share information on new studies and what works well for us.

On a personal note, I'm currently working in the Human Resources field for an International company. I absolutely love my job! I'm in my 30's and enjoy painting, music, my nephews (all four of them), gardening and driving fast (I keep the cops employeed). I look forward to hearing from you!
