sarahtroy"There's a special place in my heart for MDJ's Bipolars dealing with Alcoholism support group. As an alcoholic in recovery, it is my safe harbor. I draw strength and hope from our Bipolar alcoholics and addicts who bravely share their experiences and courageously face our common demons. This is a special, close and safe group to explore any alcohol or drug issues. I have made many dear friends and been sustained by the love and acceptance so freely offered." (sarahtroy)

Hi, I am Bluephoenix. I am almost 50, have 3 beautiful children and 2 great dogs.

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1995 when some severe personal stressors caused my symptoms to become out of control. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2005 after several years of testing and many, many specialist visits. I have learned to cope with both diagnoses pretty well though I continue to have to learn new strategies when my symptoms flare. I hope I can provide support to anyone on MDJ. I have come to love it here and hope that you will too! Please contact me with questions, concerns or just your thoughts whenever you need.

Hi I am butterfly9. I have suffered with fibromyalgia and bipolar for many years although I am newly diagnosed bipolar. So I always trying to learn more about that-treatments etc.

As far as the fibro, I've had that since at least age 15 -a physical/emotional trauma set that off and in 99 I was plagued with it once again (as some of it had subsided) after a major car accident I was in. So, I struggle with both every day. And would like to use this forum as means of education as well as comfort and support and inspiration for all of our members. Please feel free to add topics at any time..ask any questions or concerns..and I will do my best to address them as soon as possible. I wish you all the best. bf9
