sarahtroy"There's a special place in my heart for MDJ's Bipolars dealing with Alcoholism support group. As an alcoholic in recovery, it is my safe harbor. I draw strength and hope from our Bipolar alcoholics and addicts who bravely share their experiences and courageously face our common demons. This is a special, close and safe group to explore any alcohol or drug issues. I have made many dear friends and been sustained by the love and acceptance so freely offered." (sarahtroy)

Hi! Welcome to the benzowithdrawal support group. I have been a member of

MDJ for over a year and wanted to volunteer my time as a coleader to help those who may either be struggling trying to withdraw from these drugs or reduce dosage

after long-term administration because you are having a problem with drug tolerance. I have been on these drugs personally for almost 30 years for severe panic and anxiety. The drugs do work wonderfully for panic and anxiety but can be problematic for some individuals if the drugs are used long-term for anxiety/panic management. If you happen to be one of those individuals, I am here to help you and support you in any way that I can. MDJ is a very loving, caring supportive community. Even if you are not having a problem and have questions about a benzodiazepine that you may have just started, I can probably help to address some of your concerns since I have been on four of these drugs over a 30 year timespan. I am usually here daily and I also participate in the anxiety and panic groups here.
