Hi everyone - my name is Ava. I'd like to tell you first of all, that I am by no means an expert on back pain! Personally I have spinal osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease and sciatica. It severely impacts my daily life which really gets me down as my children are only 3 and 4. I experience severe "back attacks" frequently, for which my doctor normally gives a morphine shot, then its bedrest for a couple of days and then I work on getting moving again! However - I tend to be an optimist in general and I would like to offer my compassion and advice (for what it's worth!) to those who need it.
I would ask that those of you who have undergone surgical procedures for back problems share your experiences with us here on the forum as this is not something I have been through. Lets all help each other out and share any new information we may come across in our journey to a pain free life!
