There are not any answers to what causes autism, but a recent study
shows that autism may start in the womb of the mother. The biggest
factor that is thought to be the cause is heredity, but there also may
be some environmental factors. Dr. Gary Goldman from the Kennedy
Krieger Institute in Baltimore, MD. who was not part of this new study,
says that they have established genes that are susceptible genes,
however, not all children who have these genes acquires autism.
