MDJunction to me

ThereseML"When I first came to MDJ, I was in need of peer support in dealing with issues of my childhood abuse. I was moving away from the painful issues and trying to find an uplifting group of people to help me transition to a thriver in my life. I found that here. I also found a group of peers with Fibromyalgia and found the same uplifting experience there. My computer crashed and it was a while before I found my way back, this time with issues related to Parkinson's Disease. I had tried a few other support sites before reminding myself of MDJ. On those, I never got a reply. I finally found my way back here and again found very supportive, caring and inspiring people who made me feel like I was 'back home'. Indeed I am." (ThereseML)

Support for accident family and friends. The Survivors Left behind
Written by mehlisue

Support for accident family and friends. The Survivors Left behind. There is no doubt that in my mind the worst experience is to be the survivor of a fatal accident victim or the the support person for a accident victim. What do I do to help and what do I do with my anger, depression, grief. I feel like my hands are tied and there is nothing I can say or do to help. Whether it is work related injuries or accidents of travel by air, water, ground and rail, or recreational accident, there are family and friends who live with the grief and the daily stress of the survivor.

Accident Prone?

Accident Prone

I asked myself, "am I accident prone or do I walk under a black cloud?"

I am sure just about all of us has asked this question at one time in their life of another.

Why is does it seem that some people are just lucky and nothing ever happens to them, yet others just can not seem to stop the flow of accidents.

For me, I have a problem with the kitchen. I just can't figure it out, why is it that every time I go to cut food for dinner I end up cutting my self. I kid you not my husband cringes when he see me with any sharp object in my hand.

I also seem to bruise so easy and never seem to be able at the end of a night and spot a new cut or bruise, remember when and where did I get that one?

I have a grand daugther that is only two and a half years old and she has broken her left arm now three times. Believe me, her doctors are having fits, but it as been investigated and no the parents are not abusing her. She just is not paying attention and as a young child she still does not realize her own liminations of her body. Two is also a clumsy time of life as the little leggs and balance form.

I went in search online to see if I could find anything that micht explaine what in the world is going on tat I could maybe pass on.

In this article below, I think you may find it of interest that there are some of us who are just accident prone and it may not have a reason it

is happening.

I found it also of interest that there are medical causes for all the mysterious accidents that keep happening to some of us. Something I will seriously consider an discuss with my doctor.

That and getting my eyes checked first.

How many here have this experience or events in their lives also and what have you done to try and correct it? Join us here at the Accident support group and start a discussion and venting of your accident that has effected your life.
